DESCRIPTION

Shelled and crushed cacao beans. An excellent source of antioxidants, with a pleasant semi-bitter flavor. Cacao nibs are often used by chocolatiers as the base ingredient for chocolate. Cacao nibs are also a popular ingredient with beer brewers and wineries.

Made with Ecuadorian Fine aroma and flavor cacao beans.

Our nibs are raw, and dried with warm - not hot - air. They can be further roasted to acquire different roasting strengths for different flavor profiles. They have a very strong, delicious chocolate aroma, a characteristic of the Ecuadorian Nacional bean.

Cacao Nibs are an industrial ingredient in the chocolate industry and are meant for further processing. They are safe to consume since they were washed and dried. However, very small amounts of natural occurring impurities such as small pieces of branches, cacao shell, and small stones might be present . Please be aware of these and remove prior if consumed directly.

Please note that fat bloom looks like greyish/whitish lines or spots on the chocolate/paste. It also has a sandy/crumbley texture. Once re-melted, it can be tempered again and can be used without any difference.
